Jeep Wagoneer Celebrates 50th Birthday this Month
The Jeep Wagoneer, produced from 1963 to 1991 under a variety of names, was the world’s first luxury 4×4 and has left its influence on modern SUVs. It recently celebrated its 50th birthday, and we here at Hendrickson Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM couldn’t be more excited as to what the future of the Jeep brand will bring.
This iconic SUV was preceded by Willys Jeep Station Wagon and succeeded by one of our current favorites, the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Wagoneer helped cement Jeep as a brand known for being rugged and capable, yet extremely comfortable and versatile. If you’ve ever driven a Jeep before, you’ll know exactly what we mean when we say it’s a one of a kind driving experience.
Recently, there has been talk about bringing the Wagoneer back. The Jeep Commander was quite similar, yet never gained the same level of popularity the Wagoneer had. However, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t still a market for vehicles like the Wagoneer.
If you’re curious about the Jeep brand or would be interested in driving one for yourself, we’d like to invite you to visit our showroom located at 114 N 8th Street, Monticello, IN. We’d be more than happy to answer all of your Jeep related questions.
