What’s New in the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid?
SUVs may be having a moment right now, but any sensible driver can admit that in terms of comfortably carrying passengers and hauling cargo, minivans often do the job just as well—if not better. And the Chrysler Pacifica is a perfect example of this assertion.
This award-winning minivan is taking the spotlight for many reasons, not least of which is its available hybrid powertrain option for the eco-minded driver. Here’s a rundown on the 2021 model and details on the hybrid version from Twin Lakes Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM.
2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
This comfortable family van saw an overhaul in terms of its design for the 2021 model year, with new styling for the exterior, available all-wheel drive, and more hybrid trim levels on offer.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain is equipped with 3.6-liter V-6 engine that combines with two electric motors, which are backed up by a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard on all models.
New Tech and Infotainment
Another new feature for 2021 is a 10.1-inch infotainment display, which sports the new Uconnect 5 interface. The system offers a home screen that can be customized, Amazon Alexa® integration, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and—perhaps the best features for parents with big families—an interior camera system that allows you to supervise the kids while watching the road. It also has up to 12 USB charging ports for all your littles’ devices.
Interior and Cargo Space
The new Chrysler Pacifica is a parent’s dream—packed with storage spaces, cupholders, compartments, and more, this minivan is chock-full of convenience when it comes to passengers. Its standard Stow ‘n Go® seating system allows the seats to be tucked into the floor for complete hauling space inside, while second-row captain’s chairs are also available.
